[TriLUG] Linux Patch Management (Suse)

So I was asked about Novell ZENworks Linux Management (patches and ?) 
today.  Looks like this is the Ximian Red Carpet Enterprise software.

Anyone have an opinion on this software?  Nice to have?  Not needed?  
Great if only it worked?  You can do just as much with xyz for free?

Cost seems to be over $100 per processor and we are talking at least 50 
if we included all the Linux hosts.
