Boys, boys! Please..."permishions"??? privilages???
You guys are killin' me here with this talk of "permishions" (surely
that was an INTENTIONAL misspelling, right? ;-)... looky here:
[bill at thffffpt ~]# ls -al | grep test
drwxr-xr-x 2 root apache 4096 Mar 25 11:26 test
[bill at thffffpt ~]# chmod 2775 test
[bill at thffffpt ~]# ls -al | grep test
drwxrwsr-x 2 root apache 4096 Mar 25 11:26 test
[bill at thffffpt ~]# cd test
[bill at thffffpt test]# touch blahblah
[bill at thffffpt test]# ls -al
total 20
drwxrwsr-x 2 root apache 4096 Mar 25 11:27 .
drwxr-x--- 37 root root 4096 Mar 25 11:26 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root apache 0 Mar 25 11:27 blahblah
