[TriLUG] gnome-terminal window title

I use the gnome-terminal in RHEL WS 4.0.
The window title changes to username at pwd as I navigate around.
It changes correctly if I login to other linux systems. However,
If I login to hpux systems it does not.

I am assuming this is changed when I login to the linux or hpux system.
Where can I find where this is set in the linux systems.  That may help
me fix my hpux systems to work the same way.

I have fairly vanilla installations.  
What file contains this information?
