There is a large and very old hydro-power plant.
I never saw it at night, but I was told that they turn the falls off at
night storing the water in holding area. The water was then used for power
generation work during the day. At the time they started the storage site,
there were stories in the ny newspapers as it was on American Indian lands.
I am not sure if that is what they blurred out.
There are also a number of chemical plants based on cheap electric power, at
least cheap when they started there.
