Thanks, that's the long term plan. For the moment I just need to get the
existing script working on an older server so the it stays relatively in
sync with the other 3. It was pointing to time.trilug.org. ;)

It should be noted that rdate does not speak NTP, but uses the rather old
daytime service (perhaps you've seen it in inetd).  If you want a single
shot NTP time set, use ntpdate.  If the machine is always connected, run
ntpd outright.
