Topic: Maia Mailguard
Speaker: Tanner Lovelace

Abstract: Maia Mailguard is a web front end to the amavisd virus/spam
checking filter that lets users manage quarantined spam items, mark
spam that got through, train spamassassin bayes databases, manage
white/black lists, etc. It lets users manage their own spam
prevention settings through an easy to use web interface. Mr.
Lovelace will discuss its setup, maintenance, and usage.

Bio: Tanner Lovelace has worked with internet technologies for over
twelve years. He registered his first domain name by calling up the
new registrar at the time, Network Solutions, on the phone and asking
them what he needed to do. He has run mail servers
on the Internet since before e-mail spam. Most recently, he acted as
first the system administrator and later the chairman of the Triangle
Linux Users Group where he designed
and implemented their integrated network. In his free time, he enjoys
geocaching and mountain biking.

Doors open at 6:30pm and this meeting is expected to end by 9:00pm.
Pizza and beverages are provided free of charge, and wireless internet
access will be available at this meeting.
