[TriLUG] Will java plugin work on X86_64 and firefox?

I've been unable to get java to work in firefox on my
desktop box.  I'm running FC3 x86_64 with the
2.6.11-1.14 kernel.  I've follwed the directions for
the jre1.5.0_02 installation and nothing seems to
happen when I restart firefox.  (I'm running 1.03).


I did the same directions on my laptop running the 32
bit FC3, and java installed fine.

Any ideas?
