[TriLUG] Speaking of Email

I'm migrating from Windows to Linux and have been wondering which email
client to choose. I've been using Eudora Pro 4 for many years and like the
way that I can back up the individual mailbox and table of contents
files. I suppose any of the top Linux email programs have a good way to do
backups.

I've mainly heard of Kmail, Evolution and Thunderbird. Any suggestions or
comments about the relative merits? I'm presently running Mandriva 10 but
I guess that shouldn't make a difference.

Would any of the Linux email clients be compatible with the Eudora .mbx and
.toc files?

Thanks,
Matt
