>NG is a great mag. I can't imagine how much space that takes.

I have most of them in boxes right now because I just moved from
Alabama to Raleigh. When I had them all out it took 8 full size
bookcases to hold them. I constantly replace issues that are too worn
or that are falling apart or that are missing covers, etc... I also
have 75% of the collection in the leather cases (not binders) from NG.
I will eventually have all of the collection in the leather cases but
they are $14.95 per year :( I have been a subscriber since 1980,
and started trying to complete my collection in about 1999. Before
EBay, I got most of my issues from thrift stores. Everyone has NG's
around the house that they eventually give to the thrift store. They
sell them for around .25 per copy. I made really great progress that
way then I met a lady at a yard sale whose husband had worked for
Goodwill and he kept the best issues for himself. That got me all of
the hard to find issues like the WWII stuff and the really early
issues. I did have a complete collection at one time, but my issue #1
and #2 were reprints. I'm still looking for reasonably priced
originals. But, since I have all of the others, I may just bite the
bullet and pay what I have to pay.

>Ever wonder how many others have them all?

More people than you would think. I have realized that fact from
buying books on EBay. When you see all of them together it is very
impressive. There is a LOT of history in those pages. (My favorite
issue is from 1927 when they discovered King Tut's tomb. Reading
Howard Carter's narrative is almost like being there.) But enough
people have the whole collection to make it not worth a whole lot in
dollars. Not worth as much as comic books anyway.

Regards,
Mark.
