[TriLUG] Newbie question about membership...

Howdy. Have been visiting your web site for a few years and have always
wanted to join but have felt like I might not fit in because I am a total
linux newbie. I finally have gotten a good project here at work where I am
forced to take the time to learn it. Not that I don't want to, its just that
in my free time I have been busy persuing my CCNP (CCNA exprires in Feb) and
I am swamped at work. The project is to get SNORT up and running in a
production environment. (May need advice as the project progresses)

That being said do you all have total newbies show up? I am a computer geek
at heart as I have a CCNA, MCSE and work as an admin over a 200+ node
network with AS400, Windows 2k/2k3, Cisco, Vanguard stuff but do not know
any linux but am starting to learn now. Not trying to brag but just trying
to give you all a point of reference.
