[TriLUG] Video capture and burn (to DVD)

I want to be able to capture either the S-Video or RCA out of my 
camcorder and burn to DVD. I'm not really wanting to get into "Pro" 
stuff, but I want really good quality.

The fun part is I need this to work on a laptop if possible. I have a 
dual head video card in my desktop, and I really don't want to replace 
it. Is there an S-Video card or something USB that works well under 
Linux. I was looking at the "Dazzle" brand stuff, but I've seen mixed 
reviews and I haven't been able to find any refs to Linux.

Also, are there any "howtos" on writing video to DVD under linux? I've 
only been using DVD for data storage at this point.
