I'm a *huge* emacs bigot.  Can't hardly exist without it, but as a
sysadmin, I'd be nuts to fire up emacs as root every time I need to edit
a config file in /etc.  vi is your friend for root activities. :-)

Everything has a proper time and place.  You couldn't pay me to write
code in vi, for example. :-)
