[TriLUG] Speaking of asterisk distros - any experience with plutohome?

Jon Carnes recently asked about astlinux which seems to be a distro
targetted at implementing asterisk on appliance style hardware.

At the other end of the spectrum, have any luggers looked at the
plutohome project http://plutohome.org/

This looks like a distro which claims to implement multiple "smart
home" services and apps in a distributed network architecture. It
looks like it's in the same market as high-end home systems
integration suppliers like Crestron etc.

Besides telephony (based on asterisk), they also do media center like
stuff, security, and home automation, all based on FOSS.

The architecture comprises a "core" server, one or more "media
directors" (think of set-top boxes), and remote control devices called
"orbiters."

I beleive that the core server can also function as a media director.
The orbiters can be implemented on laptops, or webpads. They also
claim to have mini-orbiters for Linux/WinCE pdas, and even control via
bluetooth phones.

Seems like a pretty impressive portfolio. Does anyone have any experience?
