Are you talking about a single partition greater than 2T, or a filesystem greater than 2T?
The latter should 'just work', however for the former you'll need to use a GPT partition table instead of an MS-DOS partition table. Note that unless you're on an Itanium, it's not possible to install to a device using a GPT partition table.
