Should have mentioned:
(1) what I've used in several towers is the D-Link
DWL-G520 b/g (Atheros 5212 chipset) PCI card.
NOT the G520+, mind you. See the chart on

(2) I have no idea if this will work "out of the box" with Fedora. It
does with Ubuntu.
