[TriLUG] Writing to NTFS in Linux?

Hi Gang,
   I just noticed today that
mount [-t ntfs] /dev/some_ntfs_partition /mnt/target

no longer defaults to read-only [at least, I think it used to...]. Isn't
writing NTFS in Linux still regarded as "experimental," meaning "don't try
it if you value your data?" I now am sure to include ro in my -o options
anyway.. but am I right to remain wary of letting Linux write to my NTFS
partitions?

Cheers,
~Brian
