Developers work closely with each other, the team leader,
product managers and others to set development timelines,
expectations and quality controls.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
---------------------------------
Object-oriented design and development, primarily in Perl
SQL database design and development
Web interface development in (template-driven) HTML and JavaScript
Design and development of unit test modules
Creation of documentation for both developer and end-user consumption
Providing training to other developers and customer service personnel
Service in on-call pager rotation

Qualifications
--------------
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Four years of professional Perl programming experience
Object-oriented software design and development in a team environment
Excellent SQL database skills (MySQL & PostgreSQL a plus)
Proficient in HTML & JavaScript
Solid knowledge of Linux & UNIX
Experience with Apache (mod_perl and PHP a plus)
Customer service skills

Preferred
---------
Revision control system (e. g. CVS or Subversion)
HTML::Mason, Template Toolkit, or other templating system a plus
