[TriLUG] hello and mysql help please

cool... i can see the usefullness of granting root to someone at another 
location... but i can also see the major security issues that would open up

again, thanks for all the useful info... i am learning from this project... 
not everything comes with the install files... i ran into a big issue were i 
didnt have any of the *.rules files for snort... had to go download them 
all, but the instructions i am following, they make it sound as if they 
should have went in when i clicked on the installer app (from my exp, they 
should have installed anyways)

ps, anyone know if charlug still has their mailling list... i only did a few 
second search, but i didnt find anything on their website that indicated a 
mailing list... ill do some more searching when i have a few hrs to spare 
sometime next week
