   The city of Raleigh has a list of places you might try:

   There is a recycle/disposal center in North Raleigh off of Durant road
that takes old/broken CRT monitors.  If you are an individual then they will
take a few for free.  If you are a business then they charge a fee.  I am
not sure how much the fee is but I suspect it is cheaper than shipping for a
heavy CRT.
