mine's b (I forget about b,g - I don't need g for anything I
do). The g in this series is another animal (same name
completely different hardware). I had a bunch of other cards
working with native drivers under 2.6.13, but only have the
Orinoco Gold working under 2.6.17.1 so far, so I don't want
to make any recommendations on them just yet.

Be careful of the name "Proxim". All those companies bought
each other out and there the before and the after cards.
Some of the early Proxim cards were only for windows, had
dreadful hardware (I have one).

If you want g look for prism54 cards on some site (Jean
Tourilles?). (I haven't used any of them - so no personal
experience here). Make sure you get exactly the stated card
(eg the foo card), and not say the foo+ card (the foo+ cards
will have different hardward than the foo card).
