that and the ipsec rfc is loosely interpreted by various vendors..

programs. Even using open standards, such as the combination of L2TP and IPSec, an Internet
Engineering Task Force (IETF) (define) proposed standard, doesn't guarantee that one company's
L2TP/IPSec package will work with another's. Any given package, properly deployed, will work
better than ordinary WEP, but they're not universal solutions."
