...from Microsoft, rather.
Computers in pretty much every classroom ...nice labs for the computer
programming courses that were offered (Basic, Turbo Pascal, C++, Visual
Basic, Delphi).

Nope ...just your typical High School (I went to HS in Lousiana). A
group of us Computer Science Club guys designed a network /
infrastructure from the ground up, and ended up getting a pretty penny
for Microsoft to implement it.
Unfortunately, due to Katrina, it's probably all wiped out.
