I must say that I hope this year will be better than last. I really
don't aim to start a flame thread, but I really hope there are some
better speakers. I took a day off of work to attend last year's
conference and ended up disappointed. All but one of the sessions I
attended were comprised of lackluster speakers promoting their
company's product. While I understand that events like this need
sponsorship, there must be some kind of value proposition.

On the other hand, I got some free t-shirts and a book or two. All
the vendors I talked to were knowledgable and that had some cool stuff
on display. I'm still mad at the guy who won something like three
ipods in the raffles. Thankfully, he gave up the last one to someone
else, though. ;)
