[TriLUG] Ubuntu: whats all the fuss?

 Well, I dont make my living using Linux like some other Tri-luggers,
but I do use it as my desktop exclusively. After trying several desktop
flavors for years, Ubuntu does get my vote. It just works, on practically
any hardware .. and works well. Now that Automatix has been introduced,
it's even better. I do miss hand-tooling everything, and compiling new this
and new that ... but not as much as I used to. And I can hand-tool if I want
to at any time, it is Linux after all.

 Am I saying that Ubuntu can make you lazy? Not at all. It's a reliable,
secure, and fast system. And that's all I really ever wanted.
