[TriLUG] solved opera issue with playing flash:

[jason at monsterjam.org]

you have to remove the "netscape" path from the plug-in path in 
opera (Tools->Preferences->Content->Plug-in Options->Change Path). 
restart opera. 

Just in case someone else runs into this.
