Responsibilities include design and architecture of platform and
application IP networks for Advanced Telecommunications Computing
Architecture (ATCA) platform in support of Tekelec telephony
applications.

In this role, the employee will be responsible for contributing to the
architecture of the ATCA platform network including definition of
network features, requirements generation, and documentation of
network features and functionality.

Employee will also be responsible for contributing to the architecture
of the ATCA application network.   In this role, the employee will
work closely with application teams to transfer knowledge on the ATCA
network features, provide feedback on application network design, and
generate networking requirements.

Employee will also be responsible for:
•	Research, analysis, and evaluation of industry standard ATCA
switches and hubs
•	Network Performance Testing
•	Regression testing switch firmware
•	Troubleshooting Customer Network issues


Must have experience in the following:
•	CCIE certification or equivalent
•	Network design and architecture
•	Network security
•	Enterprise level implementation experience
•	Troubleshooting IP networks
•	IPV6
•	Leading a team of engineers from project inception to delivery
•	Mentoring of junior level engineers in networking design and architecture
•	Development skills for the purposes of network test automation
•	Schedule estimating and task planning


Experience with the following is desirable:
•	ATCA  and SAF industry standards
•	C, C++, Object Oriented Perl
•	SNMP

Summary of Qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required.   A minimum of
8-10 years proven network design and architecture development
experience with enterprise level IP networking is required.   Must be
experienced in fielding new products and providing field support.
Must possess strong customer emphasis, leadership skills, and team
orientation.  Must have initiative and be a self-starter.  Strong
documentation skills a plus.
