My FC5 box will be running 2.6.20 when I update it, but I'm sure that's
not very vanilla. For fresh vanilla I would also say Gentoo:
http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=vanilla-sources
Note that the yellow "~" releases are still under testing, but you could
help with that. :-)
