[TriLUG] Triangle Open Source Lab - Do it. Don't just talk aboutit.

The format of the Saturday training sessions I attended was more lecture
style as opposed to hands-on build the box and load 'er up. Personally, I'm
not interested in lectures and speakers as much as making something work.
Seeing a box go together and perform a function is more moving to my soul
than talking about it.
Seeing me drop a box on the sidewalk and building a Frankenstein box to
replace it that same evening is better than talking about it.
Seeing a small power supply puke when compiling a kernel is more interesting
than talking about it.
When I wanted to meet the man that invented the Internet and have lunch, I
didnt ask the steering committee for permission. I just did it. Vint Cerf
is a really nice person, too.
So, folks that want to just do it are welcome to participate in
http://www.TriangleOpenSource.org activities. Folks that want to talk about
it, well, they're welcome, too.
If you can't have a good time, don't come to the party.
Regards,
Jim
