Excuse the marketing doublespeak. Just make sure you get accepted before
doing any work. The "come to the office" is not a huge requirement.
Basically they want to be able to get status from you periodically.

Do you know Linux?
Do you want to earn $500?
rPath is a Raleigh-based start-up that makes software that transforms
applications into software appliances. A software appliance is an
application combined with a Linux operating system in a single
installable package.
You would learn our packaging system, Conary, and our appliance building
tool, rBuilder, to convert popular open source projects into software
appliances. The software appliances must meet certain usability
standards which we will describe when the project is assigned. Most
important, the software appliance must be easy enough for a normal
person to install and use. Each accepted appliance will receive a $500
bounty.
Qualifications:
* You must be very familiar with Linux – not a dabbler
* You must be familiar with Python development and Web application
development techniques
* You must be able to come to our office occasionally during the
course of your work
To find out more about software appliances and our technology, visit

To apply for this project, please send an email detailing your
qualifications to Marty Wesley, at marty at rpath.com
