No, you're not alone.  :-)  I'm running SUSE 10.2 (or will be shortly) on a new server 
for home.  This was the family choice as SUSE is my wife's corporate standard for 
Linux.  I've been satisfied with the 9.x and 10.0 I've played with to date.
