[TriLUG] Record Phone Interviews? Anyone done this?

20 years ago I used something as simple as a suction-cupped microphone
on the ear piece of my phone, jacked into the mic jack of a cassette
tape recorder.  Radio Shack sold these cheaply.

Surely the technology has gotten simpler since then.
