I don't have any hard data on hand to give you, but I would expect
something on the order of 2x the operations per second (before latency
gets unbearable) from a SAS drive compared to SATA, even at the same
rotational speed.  Will that matter for what you're doing?  If your I/O
is very random, definitely.  If it's very sequential, probably not so much.
