Alan you took the word right out of my mouth. Honestly if you need a
code of conduct for your members to resolve issues amongst themselves
then this organization is doomed.
For someone like an IEEE its understandable because, well there just a
big organization. Even then, codes of conduct are typically places
for you to point exasperating individuals towards when you'd rather
not go into lengthy explanation with someone who is really not
interested in listening to begin with. My personal policy in smaller
groups when someone is unwilling to listen to reason though is to
simply not talk to them as much as is reasonably possible.
All that said maybe Alan and me are over simplifying the situation...james
