Or, TriLUG could run it's own NNTP server. There could be
plethora of different groups which could have their own criteria for
topicality. For exmaple, here are some groups which come to mind:

trilug.distro.ubuntu
trilug.distro.fedora
trilug.distro.opensuse

/* and so on for your favorite distros ... */

trilug.desktop.gnome
trilug.desktop.kde
trilug.desktop.i_hate_desktops /* for lovers of icewm, blackbox, twm,
                                   fvwm, mwm, etc */

trilug.policy.discussion
trilug.policy.discussion.moderated
trilug.policy.steering_committee /* SC business gets posted here to
                                     keep it transparent */

trilug.rant /* no one would ever post to this one though :-) */
trilug.jobs.offered
trilug.jobs.wanted

or there could be a trilug.help.xxx hierarchy which could be organized
along the lines of distribution and/or task.

trilug.help.install
trilug.help.sysadmin
trilug.help.newbie
trilug.help.command_line_wizards
trilug.help.small_business
trilug.help.large_business

There could be any number of groups depending on the granularity needed
or wanted.

Anyway, my 0.02 and food for thought.

Regards,

Paul
