[TriLUG] Why don't people come to TriLUG meetings? (was Re:Trilug Kode of Kondukt)

My only concern is fragmenting content. I'd be up for trilug-chat if it
was for non-technical discussions, like INW. and trilug@ was for
technical discussions. Somehow I think people will still post to
trilug@ content that belongs in trilug-chat. But if we can get the SNR
up that would be great.

Oh, and I try to make most meetings, If I miss it's usually family/job
related or I'm not into the topic.

Also while where on the topic of mailing lists, why do we have
trilug-announce if we double post all announcements to the main trilug@
list. Either do away with trilug-announce, or only post it once place.
If people really want the announcements it's not that hard to sign up.

Finally, it really gripes me that people who claim to be passionate
about Trilug, send X number of emails on an issue, and then
unsubscribe. Put your adult clothes on please, there doesn't exist a
place where your going to like everything everyone says. Ignore what
you don't like, act like a grown up, and put your energy into fixing it
or trying to fix it and not into whining and complaining. I understand
people get burned out after so long, but again we're supposed to be
intelligent adults, stop taking it personally, get over it, move on,
make the LUG better. If your answer in life is that when things get
tough you quit, then we're better off without you. That being said, I
don't mean this as a personal attack, just my opinion on the subject, I
think the people who have unsubscribed are good people who will be
missed by me and the LUG.
