[TriLUG] Get a router now! - Re: newbie needs help with IP setup, part 2: static IP?

I have a WRT54GS that runs OpenWRT just fine, not out of the box, but easy
to install, download and use the Linksys update process to install the
OpenWRT or DDWRT image.

Older WRG54GS routers have some advantages, the V2 has double the RAM of the
more recent ones, but a slower processor.  That said, for a "newbie", want a
basic thing, get a WRT54GS and go.
