   Well, I built my first modem, it was 300 baud, and built the
acoustic coupler for that. The Transmitt PCB was from Jamco and used a
555 timer IC to switch the two tones. The Receive had a bandpass
filter that drove a 2nd PCB from Jamco wired in reverse.
   Early 1978 I think.
