[TriLUG] fsck script?

Greetings all,

Recently, I had a server reboot at a very crucial time, and upon
rebooting, I got the message that a disk check had not been run the past
30 boots, and so fsck was forcing a check. Unfortunately, this was a
critical time, and since this was a very large volume (6.5 tb), it took
forever.


Can I manually run fsck on this volume during regular operating hours,
so that fsck will never surprise me like that again? Or, at the least,
set it to run on next reboot when I am not at a critical time?

Or a 3rd recommendation that I'm not thinking of?
