Test it like the fire marshalls tested our wooden structures in our
dorms at NCSU: try to set fire to it. If it burns [rapidly], it's the
wrong stuff. :-D

Subject: [TriLUG] OT: how do I know if ethernet cable is plenum rated?
I have a bunch of made up ethernet cable that I'd like to
use in a false ceiling. It has lots of numbers on the outer
covering, but nothing that says "plenum". One lot has "UL
75C" which I assume means that the Underwriter's lab says
it's OK at 75C. Another lot says nothing about "UL"
Thanks Joe
