If you are wanting 2 monitors set up with one Linux and the other
Windows, check out x2vnc. Using this, you connect a monitor to each
system and VNC into the Windows box. When you move the mouse to the
edge of the Linux screen, it jumps over VNC to the Windows system. You
get the same effect as dual monitors on Linux with one running full
screen VNC, but if you wanted you could also run advanced graphics on
the Windows system. The only down side is that you can't turn off the
VNC session to double your Linux screen real estate. So far, this has
worked out beautifully for me
