[TriLUG] Career planning - certs(?)

My feelings are this, if you don't want to live in the M$ world, then
work on your RHCE or the like if you really want a cert. Personally I
believe they get you by HR onto someone who might have a clue. But
personally any company who wants me to have a cert to work there is
probably a company I don't want to work for. Think Corporate america
stuck with a bunch of non-technical managers. That being said I do
like to eat :) Lifes too short to be a windows admin. Work on your
skills, volunteer if you have to. Beef up your resume with actual
knowledge.
Having interviewed several hundred people, knowledge impresses me over
paper.
