[TriLUG] mhddfs question

Hi everyone,

 

I am thinking of buying a Mac soon and turning my current windows machine
into a strictly Linux one.  I am intrigued by the existence of this mhddfs
driver which allows you to combine several mount points into one.  I am not
sure what is required of it, but I wonder if, in theory, it would be
possible to mount several points to the / directory.

 

Could I, for instance, mount /dev/hda1 and /dev/hdb1 etc. to the / directory
without it causing any problems at boot?  If anyone has tried this, I would
appreciate the input.
