[TriLUG] OT: getting dhcp client to pass hostname - iPod 2nd gen

A search with google finds nothing on this. Possibly no-one 
cares.

My son has just got an iPod 2nd gen, and has given it a 
hostname. When it connects to the household dhcpd, the dhcpd 
lists it as hostname=NULL. I assume the iPod dhcpcd doesn't 
pass the hostname to the dhcpd.

Anyone know how to get the iPod to pass its hostname when 
getting a lease?
