I know this is old now but I sent this reply at the time and it didn't get 
through due to some email problems my end and since I've not seen any 
other follow-ups I thought I'd resent it now I think my email issues are 
resolved.

I've never heard of it to be honest.

What does it do? What do you require? If all you want is to rotate log files 
(and compress them etc.) then pretty much everybody I know uses logrotate for 
that.
