[TriLUG] TW and Embarq work to keep Wilson style internet from spreading

So, to refocus the conversation to a more purposeful bent as we all know TWC
and AT&T are <insert derogatory term here> - what would it take / be
necessary to improve speed rates in the triangle?

a) Outside competition - what's the possibility / likelihood of luring
someone in that provides serious competition / spurs innovation?
b) Home-grown ala Wilson's style - How hard would this be to do / cost /
time - for Raleigh, for Cary, for Durham, for Garner?
