[TriLUG] SSN for job apps?

ATT has been doing this for some time.

They use the ssn as the key to track data on their application/resume 
data base.
I am not a fan.

I also do not and have not worked for ATT.

I make it a policy myself never giving out my SSN. I need an offer of 
employment first.
