Certainly true. But the OP requested _long_term_ storage. Flash, HD,
recordable optical media and even mag tape degrade over time...some
rather quickly.
Did you have a better alternative?
I'm not necessarily pushing the paper option, but I am curious what
our options for long-term are. I've got a number of archives of
photos, video, etc that I backed up several years ago on CDs...and
this got me thinking that they are degrading and not as secure as
I thought at the time.
