[TriLUG] Boot and troubleshooting dist to replace Knoppix?

I've been using a Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit live distro for that lately. I like that 
it recognizes and can easily point and click mount partitions, and the 
hardware recognition is great. However, reading the responses, I see a lot of 
distros are made specifically for this job, so I might investigate them.
