[TriLUG] Disappearing page numbers in OO

All-

I'm finalizing some documents using OpenOffice where I need to start page 
numbering on a page other than 1. I've been using the "offset" function in 
OO Writer, which works fine... EXCEPT that when the number to be displayed 
is larger than the total number of pages in the document, the page number 
field becomes blank.

For example, one document I ahve needs to start with page 9. So I used an 
offset of 8, and it appropriately starts at 9. The document is 42 pages 
long. On page 35, the page number field is blank, presumably because 35 + 
8 = 43 which is > 42.

The same phenomenon is happening in other documents too.

Any thoughts? I'm using OO.org 3.1.1 build 9420 out of the debian testing 
repository.
