This may be a bit tangential to the OP topic, but it helped me choose
which of the "better" DNS services to use.

It's an opensource app that will run on Win/Lin/Mac that will
benchmark several of the global and regional free DNS serivces, as
well as any other you choose, and give you recommendations for a
better configuration. It also pointed out that OpenDNS has hijacked
www.google.com and pointed it to google.navigation.opendns.com, which,
if true, it kindof troubling.
